The Hambley's do London...

The next group of days - As expected, time has decided completely distort itself, there has only been a weekend between this and my last entry but we’ve done more in this span of time than I could ever before conceive.  Its possible that I’ve subconsciously mastered the ability to manipulate the space and time continuum, in fact, lets go with this as I’m fairly certain I have witnessed the phenomenon before while watching an episode of the big bang theory while under the influence of…well, I don’t need to go into these details, this is about my weekend.
Friday morning (which I’m counting as the weekend due to productivity levels being nearly non-existent) started by sitting at a local cafe with Timmy and we attempt to piece together the night before, while we remember where we were at any given time, the details are fuzzy - we quickly abandon this effort when we uncover the flashback of Timmy taking a tumble and dragging mom down with him (she has the road rash to prove it).  I relay this added fact to Dave and we decide that while the winner to last nights drinking competition is too tight to determine and call it a draw, it is unanimous that Timmy was the loser.  This is okay though, leaves him room to improve.
I then attempt to work and send mom and Timmy to Primark to replace his still missing luggage.  Timmy has now fully adopted the british culture owning a pair of burgundy trousers.
While the day was spent sobering up, dinner was spent with amazing company eating a great meal, all the while, little Abbie was always in arm-reach…if not on my lap she was near enough to share a cuddle when one was needed.  I keep going on about Abbie and forget to mention where she comes from, she’s not this random 3 year old I picked up at Temple Meads station, that would be creepy not to mention illegal - she belongs to one of my best friends, Josie, whom I’ve known since I was like 8 years old.  Josie traveled from Australia with her two daughters, Abigail and Sophie.  On top of this, Josie’s parents (my second mom and dad), Denise and Richard, traveled from California all to be here with me on this special occasion.  Add Alexis (Australian as well…), an exhausted Rory (due to Alexis) and  a limping PJ and I found myself in the middle of an amazing group - thanks for coming guys.
Right, Saturday morning we drove to London.  I’ve decided that I’m now an amazing driver…very lacking when it comes to any sort of directional sense, borderline ridiculous I’d say…no, purely ridiculous, this inability being the reason I spent the night in Paddington station last month…but as long as I have my sat nav on I am one hell-of-a driver…I navigated the streets of London like a champ, Timmy even lightened his grip slightly.
Will joined us in London…in order for this to happen I sent mom and Timmy site-seeing (I will be happy for the rest of my life as long as I never ever have to be a London tourist again), instead I opted to brave the tube on the hottest day of the year.  In the end it got me to Heathrow, my only complaint being the stale air that hung around, carrying the flagrant smells of the sweaty passengers who always stand far too close and the fact that my battery was running so low I couldn’t even listen to music, all I could do is wear my headphones pretend that I couldn’t hear the high pitch squeal of the lady sitting next to me making nails on chalkboard by comparison a pleasant experience…right, much better than staring in awe at buckingham palace, I obviously over-exaggerated my hate for London tourism and under appreciated how uncomfortable the tube actually is.  Found Will and proceeded to find the nearest pub, for which we didn’t have to leave the terminal.  Two pints later and my nerves calmed enough to brave it back…right…this is taking far to long to document and despite my attempt to pause time (abilities must be burnt out after this weekends overuse) my lunch hour is rapidly coming to an end.  I will therefore summerize and include pictures.
Met up with Jill and Ryan, Katie and Craig and Ashley and Mike for a night of drinking (everywhere) and dancing (Strawberry Moons).  Drank too much, stayed up too late, woke up too early (thanks Timmy) drove home - like a boss (with my sat nav), spent the rest of the day between the Livingston/Miller crew having wine, cheese and strawberries followed by a wonderful Sunday roast at a quaint country pub, and moving to my new room in my new house on a new side of town (which included a trip to IKEA reminding me how much I actually dislike the place, you forget after long periods between moving).  I know, you wonder how one can accomplish so much in a day…some may attribute this to the fact that I’ve had a wonderful team of helpers and an amazing support group while others (like myself) can believe that in fact, time manipulation is possible especially in times of high emotional suspense, the kind you get while having the time of your life surrounded by the people that you love.  I’ll let you make up your own mind…
